Rachel had a very athletic childhood and she gave up running after being decidedly beaten by Cathy Freeman. She competed at state level softball. Her 20’s were consumed with travel, living overseas and becoming immersed in the corporate world.

Rachel commenced regularly practicing yoga in 2000, which brought her back in touch with her body and the need to nurture the body, mind and spirit. This then led her to Pilates, which complimented and strengthened her yoga practice. Pilates was instrumental in mending what had become a debilitating back condition and she no longer lives with back pain since regularly practicing Pilates.

Currently Rachel is working as a Group Financial Controller at an advertising firm and completing the Pilates Moves full teacher-training attends regular yoga classes and retreats that are also a necessary part of her routine.

“I really enjoy helping people discover the feeling of strength, control and balance the body is capable of. This will then assist people to feel in tune with the body whilst going about daily life.”
