Helen is the director and Head of Education at the Pilates Moves Studio, Sydney. As a former dancer with the Royal Ballet, Helen was first introduced to Pilates in the UK. Her initial training was in rehabilitation, but more recently her focus has turned to group fitness education. Helen is the Pilates presenter on the weekday television show Oz Aerobics, and the founder of the group exercise format for the Matwork, allegro and small apparatus within Australia.

Susie graduated
as a physiotherapist from Sydney Uni’s Cumberland College campus in 1987. She
became interested in the Pilates method early 1990’s whilst recovering from a
dance related injury. She completed studio certification as a Pilates instructor
with Helen Tardent in 1996. She has been working as a Pilates Instructor in UK
and Sydney since then, with a wide variety of elite and recreational
athletes and dancers and people suffering spinal pain. She now runs the
“Activate” Pilates and Exercise Rehab studio in Barbara Hungerford’s
“Sydney Spine and Pelvis Physio” at Drummoyne, Sydney. She is a Level 2
Pilates Practitioner member of the Australian Pilates Method Association and a
member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Susie is also resident
physio, Pilates and “Body Science/ dance injury prevention” lecturer at
Wesley Institute, Dance Degree course.

Sandy brings to her Pilates practice an extensive movement background spanning over 30 years and covering 2 continents. From a competitive state gymnast to top contemporary dance teacher and choreographer, Sandy has an eye for perfection and precision making every workout valuable. "I believe the human body is designed for movement. Every person has the right and hopefully the will to discover their full movement potential; increasing their fitness, vitality, creativity, awareness and the joy of being alive. I have re-hab clients who have just had spinal fusions and can barely move to top athletes and dancers; I challenge every client's movement potential with Pilate's training".

Sally is the director of Pilates International and the Pilates International Training Centre. She has given teacher training in all continents of the world over the past several years for Body Arts & Science Professional Program, until resigning this year to concentrate on education and regulation within her home region - Australasia and Pacific. Sally is president of the Australasian Pilates Industry Alliance (PAA) and full member of the international regulatory body the Pilates Method Alliance
